What is Know Your IP Address?

Know Your IP Address is a free tool that shows the public IP a website sees when you connect, plus its approximate location and ISP. It also offers an IP lookup for any address, a drawer of network tools, and short security articles written in plain English.

Who runs it?

The site is designed, developed, and owned by Raza. It is a small independent project, not a VPN company or a data broker. There is no sales team and no phone number. The only contact channel is contact@knowyouripaddress.com and the contact form.

Where does the IP data come from?

Your public IP is read from the connection you make to the site. Location and ISP details come from public IP geolocation databases and registry data. Country is usually right. City is a best guess, never a street address. The IP lookup page explains the accuracy limits with numbers.

What does the site not do?

  • It cannot turn an IP into a name, phone number, or house.
  • It does not sell lookups, leads, or “recovery” services.
  • It never calls, texts, or messages you on WhatsApp.
  • Browser tools such as WebRTC diagnostics and the CIDR calculators run locally. Those inputs are not our business to keep.

Why trust the articles?

Every guide answers the question in the first paragraph, explains the limits of what an IP can reveal, and links to the live tool so you can verify claims yourself. Start with Can someone find me from my IP address? or the FAQ.
